The Pepperstone Razor account is the company’s raw spread account that is offered to clients. A raw spread account is a type of trading account that gives traders access to the raw spreads from liquidity providers. Pepperstone connects to these liquidity providers via an Electronic Communication Network which allows the broker to pass prices straight to clients with no intervening desk needed.

Pepperstone Razor Account Commissions

The Pepperstone Razor account charges a small commission depending on the trading platform that a trader uses. Traders using MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 are charged a commission of $3.5 per side per lot, or €2.6 per side per lot for EUR-based accounts. Similarly, TradingView users incur a commission of $3.5 per side per lot. On the other hand, cTrader users enjoy a lower commission rate of $3 per side per lot.

For traders using TradingView or cTrader platforms with an account in a currency other than USD, the commission will be converted to their account currency at the current spot rate. The four account currencies supported by the broker include USD, EUR, GBP, and CHF. Also important to note is that the commission on MetaTrader 4 is calculated for a round-turn trade and is applied at the time of opening the position. All sorts of trading strategies are allowed on Pepperstone’s Razor account including scalping, hedging, and use of EAs. The Pepperstone Razor Account has no minimum deposit requirement to start trading, meaning you can start with whatever amount you wish.

Pepperstone’s Liquidity Providers

Perhaps one of the most important considerations in trading is liquidity, regardless of the account. Good liquidity ensures you can quickly enter or exit a trade at the desired price. Pepperstone is renowned for its high-quality liquidity solutions, supported by a robust network of tier-one liquidity providers. The broker sources liquidity from top-tier banks and financial institutions. This ensures access to deep liquidity pools, resulting in tight spreads and fast trade execution speeds.

Pepperstone offers some of the quickest order execution speeds in the market. With the Pepperstone Group Limited branch, most orders are executed in under 30 milliseconds, while with Pepperstone Limited, execution times are typically under 60 milliseconds. While the broker doesn't disclose specific names, their commitment to reputable providers is clear in their competitive offerings.

Hello Felix,The available leverage for both razor and standard accounts depends on the Pepperstone branch you are trading with. In the UK, EU, UAE, and Australia (where the company is regulated by local authorities such as the FCA, CySEC, DFSA, and ASIC), the maximum leverage is capped at 1:30.Traders under the Pepperstone CMA-regulated entity (covering Kenya and most African countries) can access leverage of up to 1:400. Meanwhile, international traders (e.g., from Asia, South America, etc.) trading under the SCB-regulated entity can use leverage of up to 1:200.These leverage limits apply to retail clients. However, the broker also offers professional accounts where higher leverage is available, either 1:500 or 1:400, depending on the entity.
