Exness Cent Account Review
Exness offers five trading accounts: two Standard accounts and three Professional accounts. The Standard Cent account is the one built for trading with very small amounts. Your balance is shown in cents, positions are 100 times smaller than on a regular account, and you can start with just 10 USD.
We opened a Standard Cent account ourselves to check every condition against what Exness advertises. In this Exness Cent account review, we cover how the account works, the full list of instruments, its pros and cons, and how to open one.

What is the Exness Cent Account?
The Exness Standard Cent account is the only Exness account that uses cent lots instead of standard lots. Your balance, profits and losses are shown in cents, most commonly US cents (USC), although other cent currencies are also available. If you deposit 10 USD into a USC account, your balance will show 1,000 USC.
On a regular account, 1 standard lot equals 100,000 units of the base currency. On the Cent account, 1 cent lot equals 1,000 units, which is the same as 0.01 of a standard lot. The smallest trade you can open is 0.01 cent lot (just 10 units), and the largest is 200 cent lots, which gives you the same exposure as 2 standard lots.
The Standard Cent account has spreads from 0.3 pips and no commission, so all trading costs are built into the spread. Swaps apply to positions held overnight, but a swap free option is available for eligible traders.
Exness Cent Account Trading Instruments
Exness's own account comparison lists only forex, metals and cryptocurrencies for the Standard Cent account. To see what is really available, we opened a Standard Cent account ourselves and went through the instrument list in the Exness Terminal. We found 35 tradable instruments, compared with more than 200 on the Standard account. Here is the full list from our account:
| Category | Instruments |
|---|---|
| Forex (26) | AUD/CAD, AUD/CHF, AUD/JPY, AUD/NZD, AUD/USD, CAD/JPY, CHF/JPY, EUR/AUD, EUR/CAD, EUR/CHF, EUR/GBP, EUR/JPY, EUR/NZD, EUR/USD, GBP/AUD, GBP/CAD, GBP/CHF, GBP/JPY, GBP/NZD, GBP/USD, NZD/JPY, NZD/USD, USD/CAD, USD/CHF, USD/HKD, USD/JPY |
| Metals (2) | Gold (XAU/USD), Silver (XAG/USD) |
| Energies (2) | US Crude Oil (USOIL), Brent Crude Oil (UKOIL) |
| Indices (3) | US Tech 100 (USTEC), US Wall Street 30 (US30), US SPX 500 (US500) |
| Cryptocurrencies (2) | Bitcoin (BTC/USD), Ethereum (ETH/USD), not available on MT4 |
This makes the Exness Cent account more versatile than most cent accounts on the market. Besides forex and gold, you can test strategies on oil and the three major US indices using very small positions.
Exness adds a lowercase c to every Cent symbol, for example EURUSDc or XAUUSDc, although the Exness Terminal displays them without it.

In short, the Standard account gives you slightly lower spreads and far more markets, while the Cent account lets you trade positions 100 times smaller. If you can afford to trade 0.01 standard lots comfortably, the Standard account is usually the better choice. If even 0.01 standard lots is too much risk for your balance, the Cent account is the way to go.
Advantages of the Exness Cent Account
- Low Minimum Deposit: You can open a Cent account with as little as 10 USD, depending on the payment method.
- Very Small Position Sizes: Trades as small as 10 units let you control your risk precisely, even with a balance of a few dollars.
- No Commission: Spreads start from 0.3 pips with no commission on top.
- More Than Just Forex: Besides 26 currency pairs, you can trade gold, silver, oil, three US indices, Bitcoin and Ethereum.
- 200 Cent Lot Limit Around the Clock: Unlike the Standard account, the maximum position size does not drop overnight.
- MetaTrader and Exness Terminal: The account works with MT4, MT5 and the Exness Terminal, so you can also run Expert Advisors.
- Swap Free Option: A swap free (Islamic) option is available for eligible clients, removing overnight interest charges.
Potential Drawbacks of the Exness Cent Account
- Limited Financial Instruments: The Cent account offers 35 instruments, covering forex, gold, silver, oil, three US indices, Bitcoin and Ethereum. Stocks, other cryptocurrencies and the wider index and commodity range are only available on the other Exness accounts.
- No Demo Version: The Standard Cent account is the only Exness account type that cannot be opened as a demo. If you want to practise without real money, you will need a demo of the Standard account instead, which uses regular lot sizes.
- No Crypto on MT4: Bitcoin and Ethereum can only be traded on MT5 and the Exness Terminal.
- Slightly Wider Spreads: Spreads start from 0.3 pips, compared with 0.2 pips on the Standard account.
- Smaller Profits: Because positions are 100 times smaller, profits are proportionally smaller too.
- 0% Stop Out: Positions are only closed automatically when your equity is fully used up, so a losing trade can take your whole balance if you do not use a stop loss.
Who is the Exness Cent Account For?
The Exness Cent account is open to all traders, but it suits three groups best:
Trading Newcomers: If you are moving from a demo account to live trading, the Cent account lets you experience real execution and real emotions with very little money at stake.
Traders with Small Balances: With a balance of 10 to 100 USD, even 0.01 standard lots can be too large for sensible risk management. Cent lots let you size positions properly.
Strategy and EA Testers: Experienced traders can test new strategies, Expert Advisors or indicators in live market conditions at very low cost before moving them to a larger account.

Click Create account. Your new Cent account will now appear in My Accounts.
To start trading, make a deposit. A deposit of 10 USD will show as 1,000 USC in your account.
Exness Credibility and Regulation
Exness operates through several regulated entities. These include the FSCA in South Africa, the CMA in Kenya and the JSC in Jordan, as well as the FSA in Seychelles, the CBCS in Curaçao, the FSC in the British Virgin Islands and the FSC in Mauritius. Exness also holds FCA (UK) and CySEC (Cyprus) licences, but these entities do not accept retail clients. The entity you are registered with depends on your country of residence, and you can see it in your Personal Area.
Conditions can differ by entity. For example, clients registered with the Kenyan entity do not have Stop Out Protection or access to BTC/USD on the Cent account.
Exness also has a strong reputation among traders. On Trustpilot, it holds a TrustScore of 4.7 out of 5 based on more than 32,000 reviews, and it reports a monthly trading volume of over 3 trillion USD, making it one of the largest retail brokers in the world.
Final Thoughts
The Exness Standard Cent account is one of the most flexible cent accounts available. A 10 USD minimum deposit, spreads from 0.3 pips with no commission, and 35 instruments including oil and US indices make it a strong choice for traders moving to live trading, traders with small balances, and anyone testing strategies or EAs.
If you plan to trade larger positions or want access to stocks and the full instrument range, the Standard account or one of the Professional accounts will suit you better. Whichever account you choose, remember that leveraged trading carries a high level of risk, and use a stop loss on every trade.
