ETX Capital - Trading platforms

ETX Capital clients have access to two trading platforms – MT4 and ETX TraderPro. The former needs no introduction as it is the traders’ most popular trading platform in the world. The latter is an in-house solution offered exclusively to ETX traders that is accessible via just an internet browser. This platform features multiple chart types and layouts with a numerous number of technical indicators and drawing tools. There is also an option on the platform to activate email or app notifications that alert you about the price changes. The design and interface of the ETX TraderPro platform can be seen on the screenshot images below.

Trading costs: spread test

The spreads are highly competitive at ETX Capital. The spread size differs not only depending on the asset you trade but also on whether you trade on the MT4 or on the ETX TraderPro platform. To establish how tight the spreads are at ETC Capital, we have created the following table. In each line, you will find one representative asset with the minimum and average spread for both trading platforms.

Spread betting at ETC Capital

Regulated by FCA and based in London, it is no wonder that ETX Capital also supports spread betting. The spreads are exactly the same for spread betting as they are for CFD trading. Spread betting is exclusively for UK and Ireland traders who are looking to avoid the stamp duty and capital gains tax.

Cryptocurrency trading

The MT4 platform, unfortunately, does not support cryptocurrency trading. To trade cryptos with ETX Capital, you have to use the ETXTraderPro platform. The broker features the following cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Ripple. Spreads for cryptocurrency trading are extremely competitive, at the date of writing the review (15.03.2019), the spread for one bitcoin is only $36.

ETX Capital webinars

The company frequently organizes online webinars. The discussed topics are usually either about some news or about technical analysis (Chart Patterns and Trend Action, Trading Divergence etc.). The hottest topic news is now Brexit and the effects that key dates might have on all kinds of markets covering GBPUSD, EURGBP & UK100. All webinars can be attended by anyone, free of charge.

The conclusion of our ETX Capital review

ETX Capital is a transparent FCA regulated broker with decades of experience in the industry. They support trading of over 5 000 instruments, which is twice the number of assets we have seen a broker to offer. The spreads are also extremely tight and they have no troubles to compete with the industry's best brokers. The slight disadvantage we have noticed when trading at ETX Capital is that only a limited number of assets is available on the MT4, most of them are tradable only on the ETXTraderPro platform. That being said, ETX Capital is one to keep an eye on when looking for an honest broker with superior trading conditions.
